Stockade trail ascends Tooth Ridge from the south. It climbs about 900 feet in one mile. It is very steep and rocky (think bouldering in full packs). It takes a crew about one hour to make the trip up with day packs, about 1:45 with full packs. The southern terminus begins near Stockade Ridge dry camp and the northern terminus begins a few hundred meters east of the Tooth of Time bear cables.
