Phillips Junction (PJ) is a Commissary in the South Country. As of 2021, Phillips Junction has 6 campsites with 3 itineraries staying the night. It also features potable water, showers, and latrine facilities. The area is heavily wooded, with multiple trails leading into it. There is fresh fruit available on the porch, and milk is given when you request it.
Opened in 1974 after the commissary was moved from Beaubien, the camp features the commissary, a well stocked trading post, showers, latrines, and purified water. There are fresh apples, pears, and oranges available for campers.
Located in a valley below Beaubien, PJ is known to have the worst radio reception at Philmont but provides for a lot of traffic with its close proximity to roads.
