An oops bag is a secondary bear bag, normally rigged through the carabiner provided with the trek gear. It contains, though is not limited to, most smellable items used on a daily basis, such as personal gear. It also is sometimes used for the next mornings breakfast, so that the crew may separate the food easier and quicker. So named for the "oops.." often heard after the primary bear bag is put up and a crew member realizes that they have a smellable that they forgot to put up. The bear bag is used to prevent small critters such as minibears from accessing a crews smellables and destroying them.
