Beaubien is the hub of the southern country at Philmont. This camp is the largest staff camp at Philmont with a total of 32 campsites. It is a western lore camp and was one of the original Philmont base camps.
This camp was the former location of the southern commissary until Phillips Junction was built in the 1970s. There is a purified well, and showers available to campers.
Beaubien has one of the largest meadows at Philmont, with trails leading in from Phillips Junction, Black Mountain, and the Bonito Meadow camps.
